Note: Required pre-departure and post-travel sessions are listed below. All participants are required to attend all of these sessions as part of the MAN 4956: Study Abroad in Austria & the Czech Republic course.
This course will offer an overview and comparison of contemporary Czech and Austrian society. The focus will be on the business practices in both countries, with a particular emphasis on comparative management practices. Students will visit a number of business organizations and governmental institutions in and around the cultural and financial centers, Prague and Vienna, to learn about general management practices.
Austria and the Czech Republic are considered the pearls of Central Europe and provide a unique opportunity to study the impact of communism v. capitalism on culture and business practices. Finally, a number of exciting cultural activities will enhance the students' educational experience in both countries.
$3,300 (plus the cost of 3 hours UNF Spring 2012 tuition)
