					Dean James M. Parrish 1970-1984


1972 :: Master of Business Administration degree is offered.

			June 10, 1973 :: First UNF graduation: 35 students receive degrees, 10 of whom are candidates for Bachelor of Business Administration degrees.

		1976 :: Establishment of the Small Business Development Center.

	1977 :: Establishment of the Center for Economic Education.

	1978 :: Master of Accountancy degree is offered.

	1984 :: First freshman admitted to UNF.

							Dean Edward A. Moses 1985-1989


1987 :: Development of the Business Advisory Council, through which area business leaders help to chart the course of the College of Business Administration.

1987 :: The Business Advisory Council develops the Business Affiliates program, an ongoing partnership between the College and individuals and companies committed to excellence in business education.

1990 :: The Small Business Development Center established to provide training and counsel to small business owners and entrepreneurs.

					Dean Earle C. Traynham 1993-2003


1995 :: Board of Regeants approves addition of the Financial Services major.

				1996 :: Grand opening of the new $7.8 million College of Business Administration building (with $2.9 million in private philanthropy).

1998 :: Received re-accreditation from AACSB "without concern" (a designation for only 10% of evaluated schools).

1999 :: A UNF student makes the #1 score on the CPA exam.

2001 :: Department of Accounting & Finance receives its own accreditation by AACSB; it is the first time that the BBA in Accounting and MAcc degree programs are separately accredited.

Fall 2002 :: The new Student Managed Investment Fund is launched, with 12 students managing a $500,000 fund as part of a 6 credit course.

						2003 :: The Coggin College of Business opens the State Farms Companies Foundation Center for Financial Research, which provides the technological tools to access and analyze financial data.

2005 :: Inaugural Luther Coggin Lecture Series.

2006 :: Establishment of the Paper and Plastics Education Research (PAPER) Institute.

	1969 :: 1,000 acre campus site is chosen. Land is acquired from the city and area landowners.

	1971 :: UNF groundbreaking.

	1972 :: UNF opens for the first semester. The College of Business is one of the first three colleges.

	1976 :: Initial undergraduate accreditation. First upper division university (no freshmen or sophomore students) to be approved by AACSB.


	1981 :: Initial graduate accreditation by AACSB.

	Interim Dean Frank McLaughlin 1984-1985

	1986 :: Inaugural Executive Lecture Forum, bringing Jacksonville's business and education communities together to hear internationally aclaimed business leaders.

	1987 :: Re-accredited by AACSB.

	1987 :: Establishment of the Institute for Management Development and Organizational Quality.

	Dean Edward A. Johnson 1989-1993

	1995 :: Ground-breaking for construction of the new College of Business Administration building.

	1995 :: First Weekend MBA program is launched.

	1996 :: Board of Regeants approves addition of the International Business major.

	1998 :: The Prime F. Osborn, III, Distinguished Business Leader Award is established as an annual award to recognize the long-term career achivements of individuals who provide leadership in business and the local community.

	2001 :: Establishment of the e-Business Certificate and International Business Certificate programs.

	Fall 2001 :: The inaugural GlobalMBA class begins studies.

	2002 :: In honor of a $5 million gift by Luther and and Blanche Coggin that is matched by $5 million from state funds, the college is named the Coggin College of Business.

	Interim Dean Gary R. Fane 2003-July 2005

	2004 :: Inaugural Family Business Forum.

	August 18, 2005 :: UNF adopts a new logo and student-centered brand.

	May 2006 :: Two Coggin College of Business programs -- International Business and Transportation & Logistics -- were selected as UNF flagship programs.

	2007 :: Opening of the Career Management Center
