Faculty
Devoted to Student Learning
Student learning is a central focus at UNF
and in the Coggin College of Business. Definitions
of learning objectives and assurance that graduates achieve
these expectations are key features in all of our
degree programs.
The learning objectives in each degree program reflect
our focus on the education and development of business
professionals: individuals with the
appropriate knowledge and understanding of business
and the skills and perspectives essential for success.
Learning objectives vary for undergraduate or graduate programs;
however, they all include:
- communicating effectively (in written, oral, and electronic
formats)
- identifying and reconciling ethical issues in decision-making
- understanding the global economy and recognizing the
impact of diverse socio-economic and cultural factors on
business operations
- utilizing technology to enhance decision-making skills
and improve productivity
- thinking critically to identify problems and to propose
alternative solutions
- acquiring knowledge in the major functional areas of
business and understanding functional interrelationships
Coggin College faculty encourage students
to learn outside the classroom through involvement
