Mission and Vision
Purpose
Our
purpose is to serve as the nucleus of a knowledge network that
promotes dialogue between and among a community os stakeholders to
study, learn and disseminate concepts and best practices that lead to
sustainability of the enterprise and to develop an awareness of how much
such activities impact the triple bottom line (TBL) of economic
(profit), environmental (planet) and social (people) performances among
stakeholders.
Mission
Our
mission is to create a business sustainability knowledge network with
Coggin at its hub.The CSBP thus serve as a resource for business that
endeavor to make sustainability a central element of their corporate
strategy. The CSBP strive to provide intellectual resources that
encourage the development of sustainable enterprises in the First Coast
region. The Center promote corporate sustainability by addressing
economic prosperity, environmental improvement, and social
responsibility. The Center work with the academic community, business
enterprises and civic society to encourage business organizations to
work towards: generating employment, raising the quality of life;
respecting cultural diversity; encouraging ethical behavior; and
conserving the ecological integrity of the planet.

A business practice that is economically viable, socially responsible and environmentally friendly is usually regarded as being sustainable. Corporations that include socially responsible and environmentally sound policies as core elements in their growth strategy very often create sustainable economic values.
