Fingerprinting Requirements and Information Introduction to Education
The school districts in conjunction with the university have developed procedures for fingerprinting university students which must be followed. General Procedures The cost of fingerprinting is $61.00 except for Nassau County which is $79.00. Payment may be made two ways:

All fingerprinting must be completed by February 17 for students participating in field experiences during the spring semester. Students not fingerprinted by February 17 will not receive school placements and subsequently will not be able to complete course requirements. This will adversely affect your grade for the course. Fingerprints at present can not be transferred from one district to another No student will receive a placement until they have received clearance from the district. Active substitutes or persons presently employed by the district in which the clinical experience will be conducted should email Dr. Cathy O’Farrell, Director of Educational Field Experiences at cofarrel@unf.edu. You will need to provide your name and the position that you hold with the district. This information will be forwarded to the district for clearance approval.
