General Procedures

The cost of fingerprinting is $61.00 and is set by the state legislature. Payment may be made two ways:

  • Credit card (Visa or MasterCard only) via the Internet http://www.flprints.com (24 hours a day) or calling 1-877-357-7456 (Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm). Be sure to print out and bring the confirmation information to the fingerprinting appointment.

or

  • Money order made out to Fingerprinting Services, LLC. The money order should be brought to the fingerprint appointment and given to the person processing the prints.

All fingerprinting must be completed by February 17, 2006 for students participating in field experiences during the spring semester. Students not fingerprinted by February 17, 2006 will not receive school placements and subsequently will not be able to complete course requirements. This will adversely affect your grade for the course.

Fingerprints at present can not be transferred from one district to another

No student will receive a placement until they have received clearance from the district.

Active substitutes or persons presently employed by the district in which the clinical experience will be conducted should email Dr. Cathy O’Farrell, Director of Educational Field Experiences at cofarrel@unf.edu.   You will need to provide your name and the position that you hold with the district. This information will be forwarded to the district for clearance approval.

District Procedures

Students must follow the procedures for the school district in which they will be conducting their field experiences.
