Carolyn Osburn Memorial Scholarship


  • Meet admissions requirements and be accepted to the University of North Florida
  • Be enrolled as an undergraduate senior in the COEHS the term the scholarship is awarded with a minimum of 15 semester hours completed at UNF
  • Teaching majors: be eligible for student internship the term the scholarship is awarded
  • Non-teaching majors: be eligible for graduation the term the scholarship is awarded
  • Preference given to students who are working in their field of study or are active members of a community or COEHS student organization (for example: Big Brothers and Sisters, Student Council for Exceptional Children, etc.)
  • Have a cumulative UNF GPA of at least 3.0


  • Enroll full time (12 credit hours) each semester and earn 24 credits by the end of each academic year
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
  • Consent to release grades to the Division of Institutional Advancement for the purpose of reporting to the donor
  • Comply with all University regulations, rules and codes of conduct governing students on campus
  • Remain in good standing as a student


  • Within the essay attached to your application, explain how your academic achievement at UNF, your service to UNF, or your service to a community agency has prepared you for success in your chosen career


  • No undergraduate student will be eligible to receive more than 1 semester of scholarship support.
