Teaching Excellence

May 2 Deadline
The College of Education and Human Services at the University of North Florida will be awarding five graduate fellowships $3,500 each for the upcoming academic year. The Gladys Roddenberry Graduate Fellowships will support credit and non-credit courses at the University of North Florida and will include the following criteria:
- Current employment as a full-time classroom teacher in a public or private school in Duval County.
- A minimum of three and a maximum of ten years of full-time teaching experience.
- Recipients who wish to pursue graduate degrees at the University of North Florida must meet the requirements for admission into the graduate program.
- Applications must include a letter of recommendation from the applicant’s current school principal as well as documentation verifying number of years of teaching experience.
- SUBMIT A 2-PAGE, DOUBLE-SPACED PERSONAL STATEMENT WHICH ANSWERS THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:
- How have you demonstrated commitment to your students?
- How have you demonstrated commitment to your professional growth?
- How have you demonstrated consistent high performance as a classroom teacher?
- What are your professional goals in education?
- How will this fellowship help you to achieve your professional goals?
