The college has established a LISTSERV for student advising and announcements In order to provide you with the fastest and most efficient information regarding the activities of the Division of Curriculum and Instruction, an email listserv has been set up for you. What is a listserv? A listserv is a way that a sender, in this case the Division of Curriculum and Instruction (DCI), can send an email message to a number of individuals simultaneously and immediately by sending a message to a single address. During your studies in DCI you will encounter a number of listserves for academic support in the DCI courses you take. This list, however, supports the academic advising needs of students and provides near immediate posting of course changes, course additions, or any type of announcement DCI majors might need in order to meet deadlines, enroll in courses, or stay abreast of changes in licensure requirements. In short, it prevents students from having to stumble into posted notices on doors and hallway walls for advising information. What do you get from the listserv? You get an email message sent to your personal email account regarding the most recent information regarding:
How do I subscribe to the list? Anyone can subscribe by sending an email message to: Do not put anything in the Subject field. In the body of the message type: subscribeYou do NOT need to put your email address in the message. The listserv will read the From address as use that as the subscription address. As a security precaution, the listserv has been programmed to reject any subscription request that does not originate from the address listed in the subscribe line. You cannot, for example, subscribe your friend while logged into your account. All mail subscriptions to the listserv must originate from the subscription email address. Welcome aboard, Sandra Gupton, Chair
