Multicultural

Multicultural Pavilion - The Multicultural Pavilion strives to provide resources for educators to explore and discuss multicultural education; to facilitate opportunities for educators to work toward self-awareness and development; and to provide forums for educators to interact and collaborate toward a critical, transformative approach to multicultural education. The Pavilion was created by Paul Gorski with inspiration from the "Multicultural Niche".

The National Multicultural Institute was founded in 1983 in response to our nation's growing need for new services, knowledge, and skills in diversity. NMCI is proud to be one of the most experienced organizations in the field of diversity training. NMCI's mission is to increase communication, understanding and respect among people of different racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, and to provide a forum for discussion of the critical issues of multiculturalism facing our society. They accomplish this through conferences in the Spring and Fall and through individualized training and consulting programs.

Teaching Tolerance is a National Education Project dedicated to helping teachers foster equity, respect and understanding in their classroom and beyond.

Center for Equal Opportunity sponsors conferences, supports research, and publishes policy briefs and monographs on issues related to race, ethnicity, assimilation, and public policy.

Special Education

LD Online is an interactive guide to learning disabilities for parents, teachers, and children.

National Center for Learning Disabilities is a site that offers free information and raises public awareness of LD, and advocates for improved legislation and services for those with LD.

LD Resources is a site that contains a variety of resources for the learning disabilities community.

The Behavioral Research and Teaching working group combines applied behavior analysis with effective teaching practices to develop, study, and disseminate empirically based educational programs for students who are at-risk of school and community failure.

EDUCAUSE is an international, nonprofit association whose mission is to help shape and enable transformational change in higher education through the introduction, use, and management of information resources and technologies in teaching, learning, scholarship, research, and institutional management.

Technology & Learning, with a circulation of more than 80,000, is a leading publication in the world of educational technology. Written for K-12 school administrators, teachers, and technology coordinators, it is the magazine educators turn to for product information and guidance in improving and expanding upon the use of technology in their schools and districts. Technology & Learning also has a comprehensive online searching software review engine.

The Journal of Technology Education provides a forum for scholarly discussion on topics relating to technology education. Manuscripts should focus on technology education research, philosophy, theory, or practice. The United States Distance Learning Association is a nonprofit association formed in 1987 by Patrick Portway, Dr. Smith Holt of Oklahoma State University and Dr. Ralph Mills of California State University. The association's purpose is to promote the development and application of distance learning for education and training. The constituents we serve include K through 12 education, higher education, continuing education, corporate training, and military and government training.
