Music Madness - This site is the gathering place for music educators! Music educators have the unique opportunity to mold students not only in an academic sense, but in an aesthetic, cultural, emotional, physical, and even spiritual sense. With all the avenues open up to us, it's only natural that we want to share what has worked for us, whether it's coming up with cross-curricular ideas, helping promote (or save!) music in the schools, coming with with fresh approaches, or just sounding off with each other.

Music Teachers National Association - (MTNA) has existed since 1876, to support music teaching and the art of music. Founded by Theodore Presser and sixty-two colleagues, MTNA is America's oldest professional music association.

Visual Arts - Founded in 1974 by Jean Kennedy Smith as an affiliate of The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and led by Interim CEO Deborah Stuart, VSA arts is an International organization that creates learning opportunities through the arts for people with disabilities. The organization offers arts-based programs in creative writing, dance, drama, music and the visual arts implemented primarily through our vast affiliate network in 41 states and the District of Columbia and 86 international affiliates in 83 countries. VSA arts' programs now serve 4.3 million Americans and 1.3 million people in other parts of the world.

American Music Conference - is a national nonprofit educational association founded in 1947. AMC is dedicated to promoting the importance of music, music-making and music education to the general public. AMC's goal is to build credibility for music and music education, especially at an early age, and to expand that portion of the population that enjoys and makes its own music.

Arts Education Partnership - (formerly the Goals 2000 Arts Education Partnership) is a private, nonprofit coalition of education, arts, business, philanthropic, and government organizations that demonstrates and promotes the essential role of arts education in enabling all students to succeed in school, life, and work.

U.S. Department of Education - Our mission, as a Department, is to ensure equal access to education and to promote educational excellence for all Americans.
