EPI Attendance Policy
EPI participants are required to attend every session as listed on the schedule. The EPI will excuse up to 4 absences before you are administratively dropped from the program. Each absence will require on-site video viewing. Excessive tardies and partially attended days contribute to absences.
Administrative Absence:
- This is an absence required by your principal or school district. The absence must be pre-approved and include documentation from the responsible authority. The administrative absence won’t count against your 4 absences.
- Taking the General Knowledge, Subject area, or Professional subtests on a Saturday during EPI will not count against your 4 absences.
- You must contact Betty Bennett by e-mail bbennett@unf.edu prior to an administrative absence.
Absence:
- Notify Betty Bennett by email regarding planned absences prior to taking them. This may not be possible in emergency situations.
- Betty Bennett will contact you to schedule on-site video viewing for missed sessions.
- With a fifth absence, you will be administratively withdrawn from the EPI program.
Academic and Professional Integrity
Participants will be expected to follow the guidelines of the Academic and Professional Integrity Policies of the Educator Preparation Institute and the UNF College of Education and Human Services. These policies can be viewed on the EPI Blackboard site.
