Deaf Education Minor

Students who have declared a major other than Deaf Education, still have the opportunity to learn about educating students who are d/Deaf or hard of hearing by enrolling in the Deaf Education Minor.

The minor is 12 credit hours consisting of the following four courses:

EHD 4291 Content area curriculum & instruction for DHH students (3 credit hours; offered Fall only)
EHD 3941 Deaf education practicum I* (3 credit hours; offered Fall or Spring)
EHD 4245 Language develop/literacy instruction & assessment: DHH (3 credit hours; offered Spring only)
EHD4904 Independent Study in Deaf Education (1-4 credit hours)

*Students may substitute EHD4904 Independent Study in Deaf Education for one credit of EHD3941
