This survey course for teachers and administrators emphasizes technology for personal and professional productivity. It prepares educators to integrate technology to enhance teaching and learning.
Enhancing Instruction with Technology EME
6050 (EDG 6434)
This course focuses on technology to enrich learning. Topics include the learning process; current applications of hardware, software and Internet; and integration of content standards. Prerequisite: computer literacy.
Educational Web Design EME 6405
This course develops competencies in evaluating web pages for educational use, and in designing and producing effective web pages for school and classroom. Prerequisite: EME 5403,
EDG 6271, or consent of instructor.
Educational Multimedia EME

This course focuses on design, development, and implementation of interactive media in instructional settings. Topics include: instructional design, optical technologies, hypermedia with audio and video. Prerequisite: EME 5403

This course explores the many ways the
technology can support and enhance
literacy instruction. Course topics include the digital
scaffolding tools, technology for accommodations, digital
reading options, and electronic books in many forms.
Technology for Special Populations
EME 6441
The course develops an understanding of assistive technology, accommodations, technology applications and adaptations to improve functionality of learners of all abilities, including ESE and ESOL. Prerequisite: Computer and telecommunications experience.
Educational Design for Digital Media EME 7415
This course focuses on the study and application of instructional design principles to the development of multimedia materials. Students design and develop a multimedia project. Prerequisite: EME 6415 or consent of instructor.
Instructional Design and Applications EME 6601
This course focuses on the application of instructional design principles to the development of instruction. Topics include issues, trends, foundations, instructional design stages, and technology.
