MURMSI is a federally funded, Florida project designed to improve teaching and learning in Reading, Mathematics and Science in Florida’s K-12 schools with a special emphasis on students considered “at risk” due to economic or other conditions. It seeks to develop a deeper understanding of ways to improve Reading, Mathematics, and Science education through a strategically planned research agenda and action plans for change.  UNF was funded for a MURMSI Action Research initiative (see NEFSTEM) and for 2 graduate research projects focusing on individual teacher action research (2004-05).  PI’s for the MURMSI research project:  Cathy Cavanaugh and Faiz Al Rubaee; PI for the graduate student projects awarded to Holly Thomas and Sharon Jones:  Marianne Barnes
