Cohort 2008

Educator Preparation Institute (EPI)

The Educator Preparation Institute (EPI) provides an alternative route to professional teaching certification in Florida. The program is available for those with bachelors degrees in areas other than education seeking to become teachers, but not get a degree.

UNF's College of Education and Human Services has been approved by the Florida Department of Education to provide an Educator Preparation Institute (EPI) as part of the state's efforts to address critical teacher shortages. UNF's existing capacity to meet local district's needs for highly qualified teachers will be permanently increased through the EPI.

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE for the next EPI Cohort which begins in August, 2012. You may access the application by clicking on the Admissions & Fees tab.
