Economic illiteracy among people of all ages and walks of life is why there is a strong need for economic education. In order to be a well informed citizen, citizens must understand the consequences of government actions and we must learn that schools, roads, and public health facilities are not "free." In addition, we must all understand the consequences of the actions of private, as well as public, decision making. We believe that economic education provided by this center will help individuals make rational decisions and, after being exposed to economic education, will have a better understanding of how our economy works.
