About Fiction Fix:

Fiction Fix began in Mark Ari's Fiction Workshop in 2002 and released its "first injection" in April 2003.

Edited and directed by Sarah Howard Cotchalevitch, Thelma Young, and Melissa Milburn, Fiction Fix published 5 issues from 2003-2007, attracting submissions from all over the United States. During that time, the journal sponsored numberous readings, presentations and get-togethers that brought talented artists to the University of North Florida and the surrounding community. It's presence immeasurably enriched writers and other artists at UNF and elsewhere.

Many new writers who found their first publication in Fiction Fix have gone on to publich elsewhere and continuously.

In 2008 year, Fiction Fix affiliated with Deadpaper.org to produce Poetry Fix, edited by Tim Gilmore.

At the time of the launch of Poetry Fix, Fiction Fix suspended operations after 5 years of continual publication in print.

River House is delighed to announce that Fiction Fix is back in a whole new way.

Under the leadership of it's new Editor-in-Chief, A. E. Bacon, Fiction Fix is launching it's electronic version.

A. E. Bacon, an award-winning author, graduated from UNF with a degree in English. She is currently a graduate student at New York University. It's especially appropriate that, like the original editors, she comes out of the creative writing workshops and classes offered by the University of North Florida.

Fiction Fix remains closely affiliated with River House and is proud to continue it's tradtion as the literary journal of the University of North Florida.
