Originally from China, Professor Luo received her Ph.D. in Sociology from Tulane University in 1999. She is currently a Research Affiliate of the National Opinion Research Center and Population Research Center at the University of Chicago. Her primary areas are quantitative methods, social demography, aging, medical sociology, and Chinese society.
