My research interests have included economic sociology, political economy, organization theory and the sociology of teaching and learning. On the latter topic, I am currently conducting research on the sociological dynamics of freshman learning communities. I am also working on a long term project that applies the principles of organization and management theory to the study of higher education administration. I teach courses in social change/international development, complex organizations, and social statistics.
