Research Interests:

I have general interests in health psychology, psychophysiology, and social psychology and work within the biopsychosocial model of health and illness. My research has included such topics as stress, learned helplessness, health assessment, and technological risk perceptions. My most recent work is on the topic of symptom and illness perception, and includes investigation into the influences of cognitive and situational factors on the perception of bodily activity.
