I am a proud UNF Graduate with a B.A. in Political Science and an English minor. I am currently pursuing an M.A. in English at UNF. I began my career in higher education at UNF in 2004 as a Program Assistant in the Division of Continuing Education while taking classes part-time to earn my Bachelor’s degree. I remained in that position until October 2006 when I transferred to the UNF Office of Equal Opportunity Programs as a program assistant, where I gained valuable knowledge and experience. However, I realized how much I truly enjoyed working with people at a more personal level on a daily basis. I transferred back to the Division of Continuing Education in July 2007 and was promoted to Senior Information Specialist. After I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with an English minor in August 2008 I began working at the Academic Center for Excellence that December. In addition to my duties in advising freshman and sophomore students, I am also the ACE college liaison for English, History, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Music, Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, and Criminal Justice.
I have two sons, David (3 ½) and Elijah (2) who take up most of my free time. But with what is left of it, I read (I’m a news, Politics, and NPR junkie), write, and study.
