PRE-LAW:

The College of Arts and Sciences offers a Pre-Law Program to enhance the preparation of the undergraduate student interested in pursuing law school and entrance into law school or a law-related career.

THE PUBLIC OPINION RESEARCH LABORATORY (PORL):

The Public Opinion Research Laboratory (PORL) at the University of North Florida offers research services for government agencies, non-profits, the private sector, and academic researchers.

PORL services include consulting, questionnaire design, coding, data collection (Internet, mail, telephone [CATI], field); focus groups, and data analysis. The PORL serves its clients throughout the research process, from survey design consultation and questionnaire development through data collection and detailed reporting of survey data.

All telephone interviews are completed on campus at the University of North Florida in a 27 station call center. This facility is equipped with WinCATI (Windows Based Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing) software. The software also handles sample management, quotas, and callback scheduling. The PORL also offers internet surveying. Internet surveys are particularly useful when dealing with lists of individuals such as customer lists or employees.

1. partnership initiatives, emphasizing the university's role as a community player in civic engagement and citizen-focused leadership education;

2. public policy initiatives which include governmental and nonprofit research, organizational development, surveys, and evaluations;
