Third Coast Percussion Funded by UNF Student Government
Part of the Gerson Yessin Concert Series.
Originally formed in 2004 as a satellite of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago chamber music program, Third Coast has since come into its own with a performance at the 2006 Percussive Arts Society Convention in Austin, the recent release of the group's debut recording, “Ritual Music,” and concerts and master classes at the California Institute of the Arts, the University of Chicago, and Northeastern Illinois University, among others.
This unique chamber music group has continued to blur the lines between musical styles with performances at Chicago venues such as the Neo-Futurarium theatre and the The Empty Bottle. No matter what the setting, Third Coast Percussion brings remarkable intensity, finesse, and dedication to the unique music they play.
