The Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers a graduate
degree of
Master of Science in Mathematical Sciences. Students can take either a Mathematics
or a Statistics track.
This program is designed to prepare graduates for a wide variety
of financially and intellectually rewarding employment opportunities. It can also serve as

Mathematics Education graduate degree (M.Ed.): For students intending to teach high school mathematics or statistics, you will need 9 semester hours (usually 3 courses) in
mathematics or statistics. For students intending to teach mathematics or statistics at a community college, you will need 18 semester hours in
mathematics or statistics. Please apply to the College of Education and Human Services.
Financial support is
available in the form of Graduate Teaching Assistantships and Scholarships as from the
Office of Financial Aid.
We have limited teaching assistantships for prospective graduate students. If interested, please fill out and mail
the application form and the reference letters for consideration.
