Irish Studies @ the University of North Florida

The Schultz Foundation, Inc.
Founded in 1964, the Schultz Foundation's fields of interest include education, historic preservation and historical societies, history and archaeology, museums, and urban and community development. The Foundation has generously funded Irish Studies at UNF since 1995 and has underwritten both the John Francis Reilly performance and lecture series and the John Francis Reilly Fellowship program. The Reilly series has presented nearly 70 public events, free to the public, since its inception. Events have included lectures, concerts, readings, and film screenings and have brought in such noted writers as poets Katie Donovan and Richard Murphy and actor Gerry Farrell. The Reilly Fellowships have been awarded to 7 UNF faculty in order to support the development of Irish Studies courses. The Irish Studies program at the University of North Florida is deeply indebted to the Schultz Foundation for its nearly ten years of generous support..
