Hibernia, Inc.Hibernia, Inc. has generously funded the "Hibernia Presents" series at UNF since 1997. Annual grants of $2,000 have enabled UNF to sponsor such events as "The David Hammond Film (and Music) Festival," Mick Moloney's "The Irish on the American Stage," Jack Santino's "Parades, Murals, and Spontaneous Shrines: The Political Popular Art of Northern Ireland," and poetry readings by such noted poets as Kerry Hardie. Hibernia, Inc. is a corporation founded by Niall and Nancy Falloon, owners of Hibernia Handmade of Neptune Beach, a retailer specializing in merchandise imported from Ireland. Hibernia opened in 1990 as a showcase for contemporary Irish craftwork. Subsequently, the owners, Niall Falloon, a Dublin born Irishman and his wife Nancy, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, expanded the business to include work from throughout the British Isles, the United States and even Australia. Hibernia currently sells work from over 150 makers. The goods range from furniture and furnishings to leather and jewelry. Hibernia, Inc. |
