  1. Offer to pay a large amount of money for very little work 
  2. Job offer without ever interacting with the applicant   
  3. Request for personal information such as student’s Social Security Number, bank account numbers, credit card information, copies of your passport/license/or other personal documents   
  4. Offer of a large payment in exchange for allowing the use of your bank account — often for depositing checks or transferring money   
  5. Offer to send a check before any work has been completed or an unexpectedly large check  
  6. Request for payment by wire service or courier   
  7. Communication comes from an e-mail account not identified with an organization (e.g. rather than
