Chemistry Club
The UNF Student Affiliate Chapter of the American Chemical Society (ACS) is comprised of students interested in the chemical sciences. Members come from diverse majors, backgrounds, and academic experiences - all potential members are welcome. Officers are chosen for a year and are installed in January. During the Academic Year, general members' meeting are held bimonthly as a forum for discussion as well as to engage in various service projects throughout the year. Members often meet with speakers in the local and national chemistry industry and academia, and our Chemistry Seminar Series presenters. Our annual highlight is participation in the Annual Chemistry Explorathon held at the Jacksonville Museum of Science and History, in which demonstrations and experiments are conducted by club members for local school children, teachers, and the community.
The club is located in the Science & Engineering Bldg in Room 2204 on the 2nd floor and can be reached by email at unfacs@gmail.com or by emailing any of the officers listed below.
