Joy Feria Instructor of Criminology & Criminal Justice and Internship Coordinator


Professor Feria received her Master’s degree in Criminology in May 2003, from UNF.  While working on her Master’s she was a GA for one year.  She was employed by UNF from January 2004 to July 2008 as an adjunct.  The classes she has taught are Family Violence, Child Abuse and Incest, Junior Seminar, Crime in America, and Criminological Theory.  She has also taught at LOGOS College and TCIMI of Jacksonville.

She completed her undergrad work at San Jose State University in December 1989.  She has worked as a rape crisis counselor and sexual assault advocate, a juvenile intake office and litigation support specialist.

Joy Feria is a strong believer in community connections and networking to enhance social bonding.  Her ideology is that we can make a better environment when we strive towards standards of excellence and relationships tying individuals to purpose and self worth.

In the process of publishing an autobiography focusing on the aspects of child abuse and incest.
