ASSISTANT PROFESSOR POSITIONS * DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINOLOGY & CRIMINAL JUSTICE * UNIVERSITY OF NORTH FLORIDA

THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH FLORIDA invites applications for two tenure track Assistant Professor positions in Criminology & Criminal Justice, beginning August 2008. Area of specialization is open, with preference given to those whose expertise is in law enforcement and policing. The positions requires an earned doctorate in Criminology, Criminal Justice or closely related social science discipline by the time of appointment in August 2008. Successful candidates will also have demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and research, along with an ability to mentor graduate students in our MS Program in Criminal Justice. Practical knowledge of the field a plus.

ASSOCIATE/ADVANCED ASSISTANT PROFESSOR POSITION * DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINOLOGY & CRIMINAL JUSTICE * UNIVERSITY OF NORTH FLORIDA

The Department of Criminology & Criminal Justice at the University of North Florida invites applications for a tenure track position at the level of advanced Assistant or preferably Associate Professor (#332640), the latter including the potential for tenure. Areas of specialization are open, but core areas of the field are preferred: policing and investigations, juvenile delinquency and justice, courts and criminal law, and theoretical systems analysis. Position requires an earned doctorate in Criminology, Criminal Justice or closely related social science discipline. Successful candidates will have established records of success and be expected to maintain an active research agenda, work with graduate students in our Master’s program, and demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, service, and the pursuit of external funding.
