Pamela Dronski
Pamela Dronski, Visiting Instructor for the Criminal Justice & Criminology Department. Currently pursuing Doctorate from NOVA Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Drugs & Crime, Crime in America, Women in the Legal System, Women in Prison and Methods of Offender Rehabilitation and Treatment. In 2004, after serving in the United States Marine Corps and Navy Reserves for almost 13 years, I completed my B.A. from the University of South Florida with a major in Criminology. Immediately thereafter, I was awarded an MS in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. at NOVA Southeastern University in the field of Conflict Analysis and Resolution with a specialization on Criminal Justice. My research interests include developing or identifying alternatives to incarceration for female offenders who have minor children. The social ramification of incarcerating mothers for non-violent crimes in lieu of some other form of rehabilitation or restitution is catastrophic. I hope to not only present a defendable dissertation but to present viable alternatives for these women and their children to the criminal justice community. Aside from my research interests, I love teaching. Those of you who are enrolled in my courses know this without a doubt. Whether it’s teaching someone how to play soccer or learning their Constitutional rights, I take it just as seriously and can have just as much fun with either. I love coaching soccer, which I have done for the past several years. My daughter is an avid player so it works out well. I am a recovering competitive swimmer trying to regain some of that glory at our wonderful Aquatics Center and I love watching and playing all kinds of sports. On a side note, I am also a Family and County Mediator certified by the Florida Supreme Court as well as a Notary Public. I have enjoyed teaching Criminal Justice courses at UNF thus far and look forward to teaching many more in the future. Contact Information:
