STAFF BIOGRAPHIES

Dr. Jeff Will
Director

Dr. Jeffry A. Will is a Professor of Sociology and the Director of
the Northeast Florida Center for Community Initiatives.
Jeffry joined the UNF faculty in 1993. He earned his
undergraduate degree at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana
and his masters and doctorate degrees from the University of
Massachusetts, Amherst. In 1994 Dr. Will, along with Drs. Charles E.
Owens and Henry Camp, established the Northeast Florida Center for
Community Initiatives to provide research and evaluation support for
agencies and communities throughout the region and the nation. Since
that time, research faculty working within CCI have been responsible
for nearly $2.5 million in research contracts and grants.

Dr. Will's primary areas of research concern poverty, inequality and
public policy. He has authored or co-authored two books, nine refereed
articles and book chapters, more than thirty research reports, and
presented over two-dozen research papers since 1990.

In addition to his work at UNF, Dr. Will was on the Board of Directors
for the Clara White Mission. He also has previously served on the
Advisory Board for the Health Care for the Homeless Clinics in
Jacksonville, and worked as a consultant and coordinator for the annual
Homeless Census and Survey in Jacksonville from 1994 - 2000, 2006.
Dr. Will was also a member of the Leadership Jacksonville Y2K Class.




Timothy Cheney

Timothy Cheney, MS, serves as the Assistant Director of Research Programs
at the Northeast Florida Center for Community Initiatives. Tim joined the
center in the Fall of 1994 while working towards a Masters degree in
Criminal Justice at the University of North Florida, which he received
in the Fall of 1996. Since then, he has also received a BS in Information
Systems. Tim has been instrumental in the development of CCI, starting
first as a Research Assistant and progressing to his current position.
At CCI, Tim is responsible for database maintenance, survey creating and
implementation, report writing, and he serves as office manager. Tim's
primary areas of research concern computer crime, white-collar crime,
and juvenile delinquency.





Irma Hall
Assistant Director of Research Programs Services

Irma has been with CCI since 1999 when she came on board as a graduate
student at UNF. Her main areas of research at CCI deal with health
disparities in minority populations.  Her personal interests include:
Personality and Social Psychology, research on addictive behaviors,
and American and world history.





Tracy Milligan

Tracy Milligan has been working at CCI since the Fall of 1999. She
received her Sociology Bachelor of Arts degree in 2000 and her Master
of Science in Applied Sociology in 2005 from the University of North
Florida. Tracy's primary research interests include quantitative research
methods, social stratification, race relations, and sociology of the family.
