The Faculty Contacts Program for Biology MajorsThe Department of Biology offers biology majors the opportunity to discuss the field of biology with faculty members having years of experience in the discipline. Biology students may be interested in what opportunities await a biology graduate and what courses of study will help them to realize their aspirations. Students may want to discuss career possibilities or the potential for continuing their education in graduate or professional schools. To facilitate this process we have developed the Faculty Contacts Program which alphabetically links students to particular faculty members. Check the listing below for the first letter(s) of your last name, and your Faculty Contact will appear in the column across from it. Understand that this is a voluntary program, and if you want to take advantage of it you should approach your Faculty Contact by phone or Email to arrange a meeting. The Faculty Contact is not meant to replace your college advisor, and for concerns such as graduation and program requirements the advisor should be consulted. To discuss specific classes it is always best to speak to the course professor. If you have developed a working relationship with a professor other than your designated Faculty Contact, this person may agree to become your Faculty Contact. Finally, understand that some faculty members are not available during summer terms, so it is best to plan meetings during fall and spring semesters. Faculty email addresses, office phone numbers, and office hours are listed on the departmental web page ( If you have other questions about the Faculty Contacts Program contact the Department of Biology at (904) 620-2830.
