Matt Gilg: Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award - 2007-2008; Recipient of a NSF grant for a project entitled “Genotype dependent fertilization success:  a test of the hypothesis of reinforcement in the rapid evolution of a reproductive protein.”  Awarded $174,350 for two years. USDA – a collaborative project with researchers at UCF – “ Strangers in a strange land:  biological and economic impacts of two invasive mussels along the East coast of the United States in an oyster agro-ecosystem.  $370,239
