Emily W. Arthur is the recipient of multiple grants including a Florida Artist Enhancement Grant provided by the State of Florida and the National Endowment for the Arts; Individual Artist Grant made Possible by the J. Shepard and Mary Ann Bryan Arts Endowment and the Community Foundation of Jacksonville. Arthur has been awarded to the Notable Women in the Arts, National Museum of Women in the Arts, Florida Committee.
Permanent Collections include the Denver Art Museum; University of Arizona; University of Colorado; Kansas City Arts Institute; and the Southern Graphics Print Council. International exhibitions include the nations of Russia; Estonia; Japan, New Zealand, the United Kingdom; and France.
Arthur received her M.F.A. from The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Philadelphia. She has studied Lithography at the Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque, NM; served an Artist-in Residence in Vallauris, France and most recently as a cultural exchange participant to Japan with artists from the Diné/Navajo Nation. Arthur is currently an Associate Professor of Printmaking at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.
