College of Arts and Sciences Advising

Advising Hours

The College of Arts and Sciences Advising Office is open Monday-Thursday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and 8:00am to 5:00pm on Friday. We are located in Building 51, 2nd Floor/Room 2500 (the new Social Sciences Building). Our phone number is (904)-620-2797.

Quick questions may be emailed to: asadv@unf.edu. We will attempt to respond on the same day emails are received or within 48 hours during our busier registration times. Students who need program updates, graduation checks or have questions that pertain to the degree audit (formerly called the "program of study") must either schedule an advising appointment or visit as a walk-in for these types of services.

We invite you to schedule an appointment with the advisor of your choice during our NON-REGISTRATION period. During walk-ins and on the days of registration, we advise students according to the order their names appear on the walk-in list.

Specific advisors may be requested only on non-registration dates due to the volume of students often waiting to be advised during these peak periods.

Students should always CALL FIRST before visiting for advising. Advising walk-ins are always busier on the days of registration. STUDENTS MUST SIGN IN BETWEEN 8:00-5:15 to be assured of meeting with an advisor before closing.

Please note that the advising office is typically busier from 10:00 - 2:00 during registration. Students should plan their visits accordingly to avoid longer than usual wait periods.
