Deadline for chair to send hard copies of tenure appraisals to the dean.

(Year 1 of the 2 Year Cycle) Dean notifies dept about upcoming review

(2) Chairs enter Strategic Plan Evaluation and Continuous Improvement plans into the system. Chair roll and update strategic plan mission, goals, and actions to the next year. 

(Year 1) Dept chair establishes dept Self-Study Review Team.
(Year 2) Dean reviews self-study report. After review the dean will submit to the PRC chair all relevant documents and will notify the dept chair to release the same documents to the external reviewer.

(1) Chair should modify (alterations, additions, deletions) where appropriate in the system. 

(2) Chairs should hold dept meetings to discuss assessment results from the previous year. ALCs and GALCs  should then be updated in the system.  

(Year 1) PRC chair conducts orientation session with dean and chairs.
(Year 2) External Review Visits begin and go through Oct. After the reviewer's report is received, the dept chair submits to the dean a written response to the external reviewer's report.

 Chair reminds members on the Colleague's Third-Year Tenure Appraisal Committee of their obligation to complete that review by the end of March or as per the deadline noted in departmental bylaws.

 Provost provides the candidate with his draft assessment. The candidate may, within five days, respond in writing and may meet with the provost during this five day period.

Candidate submits to the provost any written response.  

 

 

Mar 1

Graduate Theses should be given by the student to committee members approximately nine weeks before graduation.  

 

 

 Provost provides the candidate with his final assessment. The candidate may, within five days, respond in writing and may meet with the Provost during this five day period. A copy of the Provost's final written assessment is forwarded to the candidate's dean, chair, and to the chairs of the University P&T and departmental P&T Committees.

Provost provides the dossiers with his final assessment and recommendation, and the candidate's written response, if any, to the President.

Once date is set, chair will submit to the dean, (1) proposed visit itinerary, (2) self-study report and all supporting documentation, (3) and name of dept secretary to handle necessary paperwork.
