Semester Maintenance During semester maintenance windows, the system is unavailable. These windows are used to:

  • install upgrades, apply patches and hotfixes
  • install and update building blocks
  • close courses (make unavailable to students and rename)
  • update enrollment in group courses with automatic enrollment setup
  • delete courses scheduled for removal

Review listings below to find semester maintenance windows and determine when course requests will become available in the Blackboard Course Action Request (BbCAR) system.

    System is available during this time, but may respond more slowly than usual.
