Faculty who have successfully completed the TOL6100 program may elect to pursue further professional development in online teaching . After careful consideration of several programs, UNF selected the Illinois Online Network's (iON) Master Online Teacher certificate. The Master Online Teacher certificate is a national comprehensive faculty development program. The program recognizes and certifies faculty, staff, and administrators who achieve a measurable level of knowledge related to online course design, online instruction, and other issues related to online teaching and learning.
Faculty who achieve national certification provide service to the
university community as a Distance Learning Liaison, Course Reviewer, or

MOT Program Requirements & Course Objectives
This Illinois Online Network (iON) Master Online Teaching Certificate program program is a rigorous 18-month program, consisting of five 8-week courses, and an online teaching practicum. The certificate is awarded after completion of required course work, and demonstrated knowledge in the following areas:

A limited number of spots will be funded each year at UNF and stipends are available to participants. Contact CIRT if you are interested in applying for a seat in the program.
