Center for Quality and Process Improvement
Lean Six Black Belt Certificate
Our Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate course content is based on the American Society for Quality (ASQ) published guidelines, and incorporates meaningful individual and group exercises based on a case study. An Excel spreadsheet with templates and custom calculators is incorporated into the training. In addition, there is extensive use of Minitab software for statistical analysis and presentation.
The course is presented in two 5-day engagements. In the intervening weeks, students have access to an online course space to practice the skills they have already learned by completing exercises and quizzes. Students are required to complete a Six Sigma project within 12 months of completing the in-class portion of the training. The instructor will provide one-on-one coaching to assist students with Six Sigma project selection and scoping during the training, and will provide personal assistance as students move through each of the DMAIC phases of their projects. Upon successful completion of the BB exam and project, students will be issued a Black Belt certificate.
Who Should Attend
Green Belts who wish to increase their skill sets so that they can solve more challenging problems and deliver greater benefit to their organizations.
The prerequisite for this course is having successfully completed the UNF Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate course. Participants that have attended a non-UNF Green Belt program may be eligible to attend if the program attended was comparable in duration and content (instructor approval is required). A laptop computer with Excel is required and Minitab is highly recommended.
Participants are required to complete a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt project as part of the class.
