Maximize your understanding of the most important economic themes going into the 2012 national election. Some of the issues to be covered will include a comparison of the economic platforms of the two political parties, the European economic situation and its impact on the U.S., a dissection of the economic condition of the country and likely legislative changes going forward, the financial regulatory environment in the U.S. and why we continue to experience major corporate malfeasance, and other topics like the tax code, distributive vs. corporate economics and other key economic factors.

Instructor

Joseph Steinman is originally from Philadelphia and holds a b.S. and M.S. in chemical engineering, and an M.B.A. and Ph.D. in finance. In the early part of his career, he worked in research for NASA on the Space Shuttle. Later he spent 19 years in private industry in various financial and general management positions in the United States, Europe and East Africa. He served on the finance faculty of a university in Switzerland for 12 years and the University of North Florida for seven years. He has consulted for management throughout the world.
