Fifty million people do it every week. Crossword puzzles first appeared in 1913. Come learn the crossword’s fascinating history as well as solving tips for the puzzles in The Florida Times-Union and The New York Times. Designed for both the beginner and experienced solver, this course will include a variety of puzzles including cryptic crosswords and even Sudoku. Come exercise your brain!

Instructor

Gwen Cordes has been solving puzzles most of her life. She holds a B.F.A. from the University of Connecticut. Since retiring from the U.S. Department of Labor in 2002, she has performed with the Vintage Players when not puzzling or watching UConn basketball.
