The American College Testing (ACT) exam is a more recently developed admission. It was originally designed to measure classroom achievement rather than internal ability. According to the Manhattan Review, the Midwest and states in the surrounding areas were the first to accept ACT, but its popularity has branched out nationwide as of late. Many students find the ACT testing strategy best reflects their skills. Some research indicates that the ACT is a better predictor of long-term student success in college. So why not choose the test that mirrors YOUR best? The ACT test includes over 200 multiple-choice questions. The exam takes about four hours to complete. In the U.S., the ACT is administered on five national test dates in October, December, February, April and June.
