    Webcast Hardware Requirements

The UNF College of Computing, Engineering, and Construction delivers high-quality, streamed webcasts of lectures to our distance learning students using the Microsoft Windows Streaming Media Server 9.

Internet Access

Lectures are available in both synchronous (live) and asynchronous (download) delivery modes. High-speed (512 kbps or faster) Internet access is recommended for download and is required for live webcasts.

Computer Hardware

Because audio/video processing is so intensive, we recommend the following, minimum computer system configuration for our distance learning students:

  • CPU: 900 MHz
  • RAM: 512 MB
  • Hard Drive: 10 GB of free space
  • Removable Storage: DVD / CD-RW optical drive
