UNF Construction Management students win second-place at NAHB competition

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Student Chapters Residential Construction Management Competition is one of the highlights of the annual International Builders' Show. The competition gives students the opportunity to apply skills learned in the classroom to a real construction company by completing a management project/proposal. Proposals are submitted to a group of construction company executives who act as judges. During the convention, students defend their proposals to the judges in front of an audience. The students were given a problem statement in October and were required to submit the proposal in early January. The students' proposals were graded by a panel of industry leaders including this year's sponsor, Oakwood Homes. The students then traveled to Las Vegas where they presented on February 5th to the panel and defended their proposal.
