Job Summary / Responsibilities:
The person in this position provides and administers computing-based technical support services for the College of Computing, Engineering and Construction in support of the College faculty, office needs and student laboratory facilities. Includes overseeing hardware and software support, provision of primary support for College computer networks and systems control programs such as operating systems and other systems and applications software, oversees systems security and maintains cooperative interaction with university support personnel for the delivery of general computing services.

Required Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution and six years of experience; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and eight years of directly related professional work experience. Experience includes but not limited to: configuring, administrating, and supporting multiple Microsoft Windows Server 2000/2003 and Linux/Unix server systems, Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/Vista, Mac OSX, and Linux/Unix workstation systems, and network services in a varied but detailed user-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience administrating: Linux/Unix servers, AD, Microsoft Windows servers, NIS/YP, Kerberos, NFS, Samba, Apache, IIS, Sendmail or Postfix, Vmware/Virtua lBox/Xen, and high-performance computing clusters.
