Advisory Council
The Engineering Advisory Council (EAC) is established to provide a vital communication link between the UNF School of Engineering and the community which it serves, and to advise the School’s Director on matters of mutual interest and concern. The purposes of the EAC are to:
- Advise on community needs for education in applicable engineering disciplines.
- Assist as desired and appropriate in fund raising for scholarships, equipment, program development and improvement, new program start-up costs, faculty development activities, and operating funds for the EAC.
- Review, on a regular basis, the program/course offerings and make suggestions commensurate with needed changes based on industry trends.
- Inform the School Director of industry trends, new technology, expectations of graduates, and other appropriate matters.
At the present time representatives from over 30 companies and professional organizations participate on the EAC. Meetings are held on the first Wednesdays of September, October, November, January, February, March, April, and May.
