Admission ( UNF Online Application)

In addition to program prerequisites, students seeking admission to the BS degree program must satisfy the general requirements of the University relative to semester hours in lower-division courses, grade point average, and general education distribution (see Academic Policies section of the UNF catalog).

Students with at least a 2.0 GPA, including
  • 36 hours of general education requirements
  • satisfaction of Gordon Rule writing and math requirements
  • passing scores on CLAST
should complete the Declaration of Major form during the term in which they complete 60 semester hours.

Once admitted to the BS degree program, the student should schedule an appointment with a School of Computing Academic Advisor to prepare an individualized program of study outlining the coursework needed needed to satisfy the requirements of the major program track selected. Students who lack one or more prerequisite courses for the selected major may be admitted provisionally while prerequisite work is being completed.

Students who plan to pursue one of the School of Computing major programs are strongly encouraged to meet with a School of Computing Academic Advisor as early as possible after entering UNF.

Once a student is admitted to UNF, the student may not complete course work at another institution for transfer to UNF without prior authorization via a Concurrent Enrollment Form. For School of Computing majors, authorization first requires the approval of a School of Computing Academic Advisor. The Concurrent Enrollment Form, including all authorizations, MUST be completed prior to the start of a course intended for transfer.
