In an effort to meet the demands of an ever-changing technology market, the School of Computing is proud to offer a new track in Information Technology with concentrations in Computer Networking, Mobile Computing, and Computer Security Administration. This track combines professional requirements with general education requirements and electives to prepare all students for a career in the information technology field, for further study in information technology, for functioning in modern society, and for graduate work in Information Technology. Students completing this program will be specialists ready to face high expectations of organizations with respect to planning, implementation, configuration, and maintenance of a computing infrastructure. They will be able to apply computing principles and concepts by participating in practical activities throughout the program. By selecting one of three available concentrations, students attain expertise in an area of growing demand.

Prerequisites - 12 Semester Hours

Students are encouraged to complete program prerequisites during their freshman and sophomore years. Similar course work at another institution will be considered on a case by case basis at the initial meeting with a School of Computing academic advisor. All prerequisite courses must be completed with grades of C or better.
